The Organising Committee of Second Global Summit on Sustainable Development of Biodiversity (Gloss 2011) welcomes oral and poster presentations. All speakers, including keynote speakers and session chairs, are kindly requested to submit their abstracts to the secretariat by Email: sainathpati2011@gmail.com.
The Presentations, both oral and in poster format, have been categorized into 5 different technical sessions that, together with keynote presentations, constitute the comprehensive agenda of the Global Summit. The posters are associated with the technical sessions. The poster sessions will not be held in the conference hall where the technical sessions are organized. A separate venue has been allotted for poster sessions. The delegates interested to present their posters are required to come with their posters when their associated technical sessions are held.
The moderated discussion shall be stimulated at the end of each technical session which will capture observations on the gap and insights about future policies, programmes and actions initiated. The raporteurs of the technical sessions will record all these discussions which will be incorporated in the proceedings of the Global Summit. All the delegates are encouraged to participate and contribute their inputs meaningfully towards formulating international agenda in these brain storming discussions.
Deadline for submission of abstracts. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15th February 2012. Abstracts should be submitted electronically. The abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Committee and forwarded to the appropriate topic experts who will review their relevance in relation to the conference themes and topics. An initial reply to confirm that the abstract has been received and forwarded will be sent by the conference secretariat.
By 15th March 2012,
a notification of whether the presentation is selected as an oral or poster presentation will be e-mailed from the secretariat to the delegates
Book of abstracts. The accepted abstracts will be edited in a Book of Abstracts to be distributed at the conference venue.
Proceedings. After the conference extended abstracts and papers shall be reviewed and resubmitted to the secretariat. The maximum size of extended abstracts is 4 pages including main result figures or tables. The refined abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings and made available for downloading from the conference website.
Special issues of international scientific journals. The Proceedings of the Global Summit shall be published in a special issue of International Scientific Journal. The selected articles shall be published in Sustainable Series of Books. Selected authors will be invited to submit full papers shortly after the conference

- Length: Abstracts must be no more than 500 words
- Size: Letter size (8.5" x 11") paper
- Margins: Should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch), top, bottom and sides.
- Fonts: Times New Roman: 12 point
- Digital format: Microsoft Word or compatible format
- Language: English
- Topic: Please place the Conference Topic selected from the list provided, above the title
- Title: Type abstract title on a line with formatting as it would appear in the final paper
List author(s): Presenting author first (underline) followed by affiliation (name, organization, address and email). Additional authors including affiliations should then follow.
Body of abstract:
- Type body without any indents or tabs
- Double space between paragraphs
- Apply bold, italics, underlining, superscripts and subscripts, as you want it to appear in your final abstract
Submission of Abstracts: All abstracts are to be submitted electronically to sainathpati2011@gmail.com.
Acknowledgement of receipt: All abstracts will be acknowledged electronically.
Notification of Abstract Acceptance: Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified via e-mail by 15th March 2012. Accepted abstracts will be published on the website of the Gloss 2011.
Papers
Authors of accepted abstract papers will be required to submit the finalized paper no later than 30th April 2012 to allow for final review and acceptance. Paper acceptance notices will be sent out by 15th March 2012.
Please note that acceptance of a paper for presentation does not signify that funding will be made available from the organizers to attend the event. The author will be responsible for his/her arrangements to attend the event.

- Size: Letter size (8.5" x 11") paper
- Margins: should be set at 2.54 cm (1 inch), top, bottom and sides.
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 point
- Language: English
- Topic: Please place the Conference Topic selected from the list provided, above the title
- Title: type paper title on a line with formatting as it would appear in the final publication
- Body of Paper: Type body without any indents or tabs. There should be a double space between paragraphs. Apply bold, italics, underlining, superscripts and subscripts in the main text as needed
- Length of paper: No more than ten (10) pages
- List author(s): Presenting author first (underline) followed by affiliation (name), organization, address and email). Additional authors including affiliations should then follow
Digital format: All text must be either in Microsoft Word or compatible format. Pictures, Diagrams and Charts should in JPEG or GIF format. These must be inserted into the body of the paper and appropriately captioned. The total size of the paper should not exceed 5mb. Please compress images and files as needed.

Acknowledgement of receipt of Paper: All papers submitted will be acknowledged electronically.
Presentation of Papers: Each accepted paper is expected to be presented orally using a 15-minute format, followed by a 5 minute question and answer period, time permitting. Multimedia projectors will be available for presentations.
Electronic presentations must be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by no later than 30th April, 2012.
